It was an absolute honour and pleasure to be allowed into all of your lives and your thoughts, views, memories. I actually read the book in less than two days. I laughed and cried and now have nothing but the urge to get a bottle of wine, a cheesecake (any flavour lol) and my three dearest friends and laugh and cry or simply just do nothing but be next to them. So happy that Kelly and Angel have pulled through. How much do girls ROCK?!!
Thank you.

I was at the library looking through the "new" section. This title caught my eye, as I am from Iowa and living in Pennsylvania. Could this really be a story from Ames, Iowa? I quickly pulled it off of the shelf. Oh, yes, indeed; I had to check this "baby" out and take it home! I loved it! 1) I have my own "Iowa" girls group --- we just spent a week end in October at the N.J.shore! 2) the growing up stories were just soo close to my heart. They made me laugh outloud!! Thanks girls!! 3) Iowans have a bond like NO other!!!

While I have lost contact with the friends I had in school, I do have a group of 6 friends that I have been fortunate enough to know for the past 20 years. We didn't know each other in elementry school, but met each other when our children were in elementry school. There were originally 8 of us, but Loretta died last Aug. from ovarian cancer. Because of her death, we have vowed to get together at least once a month (we all live in the same city). Our children are grown now and doing their own thing so getting together is much easier than in the past. We laugh, we cry, we remember! They are my friends, they are my sisters! Thank you Ames girls for such a beautiful story.

Dear Girls,

I loved reading your stories....your stories of the past brought back wonderful memories of growing up with friends in a small town in Illinois. Hearing your stories of husbands, children, loss and death made me cry with empathy and my own memories. I childhood friends have been my strength and conerstone many times over the past years. Thank you for sharing your very special story with the world.

Old friends are gold!!

To all the girls:

Just finished reading the book. I laughed, cried and learn so much from each one of you.

You were terrific young girls while you were at Ames High and I remember each of you in different ways. You are all exceptional young woman and I am honored to say I know you.

I'm in awe of your continuing friendship and Love of each other.
